Warrior Art Camp Founders Kayleigh Ma and Angela Sung will lead an intro and Q&A session before we open to portfolio reviews. Get feedback on your work from industry professionals as they share their combined experience!

This portfolio review will be focused on BG design/paint as well as VisDev.

Drawing on her expertise in marketing consulting, Kayleigh Ma co-founded Warrior Painters and Warrior Art Camp, taking charge of marketing and business development for both entities. At Warrior Art Camp, Kayleigh serves as the Camp Counselor, supervising course development and all daily operations.

Angela Sung, a versatile artist with a decade of experience in animation, working on projects such as BAD GUYS, LEGEND OF KORRA and KIPO AND THE AGE OF WONDERBEASTS. She has collaborated with studios including Sony Pictures Animation, DreamWorks, Netflix, Warner Bros and Nickelodeon. Co-founder of Warrior Painters and Warrior Art Camp, Angela is dedicated to promoting artistry and education in the entertainment industry.

About the Speaker

Catherine Chen is currently a showrunner’s assistant at Nickelodeon Animation and recently sold an episode premise to the studio. Her short film YUAN YUAN AND THE HOLLOW MONSTER became a Semi-finalist for the Student Academy Awards, was selected by the Center for Asian American Media's film festival and was spotlighted in the New York Times. And once, she even proudly voiced as a barking toy for Paw Patrol.

About the Hosts

Kaitlin is a Chinese-American 3D animator and the Events Assistant at here at AIA. They graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 3D Animation and Visual Effects and have worked for studios such as Framestore, Hornet, HOPR, PDA.NYC, Jabimation and Free Range VFX.

Josh Alvarez is a self-taught visual development artist from New York currently working on his portfolio and developing his skills as an artist with the hope to breaking in next year! He works with AIA to volunteer with online and offline community events like this year's career summit or even more recently the AIA meet-up in New York City!

Vivian Le is storyboard artist based in the LA area with a passion for all things story! Be it comics, movies, TV shows, Vivian loves it all. On the weekends, Vivian enjoys hiding treats around the house for her dog.

Leslie Park is a director and storyboard for TV animation with extra love for comedy. She’s worked with Disney TVA, Bento Box, and Pipeline studio while moonlighting for live-action. She loves to teach and currently is an adjunct at Woodbury University.
