Asians in Animation is where untold stories find power, and new legends take form.
Asians in Animation (AIA) is excited to introduce the Animation Industry Immersive Lab, a program designed to equip emerging Asian animation professionals with the skills and experience needed to thrive in the professional animation industry.
Through a combination of hands-on workshops and industry production exposure, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest animation industry hot topics and how to sustain an ever-evolving career in creativity.
AIA is excited to offer a by-application-only production program with extra hands-on mentorship for
production program participants.
With the ability to work with the top emerging talent of Asians in Animation, participants will creatively contribute to a month-long or year long, hands-on animation industry simulation and produce a full professional-level project alongside a full production crew and experienced industry mentors.

Production TracksRanging from one-month to one-year, the AIA Production Track unites future industry leaders and the brightest creative minds to produce an original animated short film. Inspired by historical animation industry successes, all lab participants will be challenged to form the strongest creative team and develop a pipeline that serves their creativity, all while developing a story and character relationships that bring joy to global audiences. With additional financial support, each short film will be submitted into the festival circuit for marketing and distribution.

Pre-Production TracksDesigned by animation industry professionals, these pre-production tracks give participants the experience of working in the professional studio pipeline - from developing an idea in a writers' room to producing an original ready-to-pitch proof-of-concept animatic reel over the course of nine months. Following in the footsteps of industry giants who create beloved IP for audiences all over the world, lab participants will work together and create their version of a healthy, dynamic studio production.

Annual Career Summit
The Annual Asians in Animation Career Summit is a series of workshops, presentations, demos, portfolio reviews, and networking over the month of December. The Summit’s goal is to provide educational experiences not typically found in animation schools and giving the knowledge, mentorship, and tools to attendees to thrive in the industry. The AIA Summit is open to all, free, and completely virtual.
