Abigail was born in Malaysia and with her family, moved to a small town in California where she attended an all-girls high school. They graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Digital Communication Arts, where they discovered their passion for motion design and animation. 
In college, Abigail did some projection design for the school theater and that got her thinking about the endless possibilities animation could be used for. It is such an open medium that can be used to elevate stories beyond the screen. Like all media, animation can change culture. Abigail hopes to uplift underrepresented storytellers to create a more empathetic future and to reach the untapped potential of animation.
In their free time, they can be found making digital art, embroidering, or reading Eastern philosophy or sci-fi. Like many folks, Abigail finds comfort in their pandemic-born hobby of embroidery, patiently stitching each thread to create a tactile work of art. One day, Abigail dreams of translating what she read in Eastern philosophy into animation to make these ideas more accessible to all. 
Fun fact: When Abigail’s great-grandmother was alive, she had a hard time saying their name, so she called them 蝦米 [Hokkien pronunciation: hê-bí], which means “shrimp.”
