Pronouns: He/Him/His What I Am: Chinese/Japanese American living in the Bay area Kyle Powell is currently a Bay Area living artist and is a graduate from Savannah College of Art & Design, specifically with a major in Animation and a minor in storyboarding.
Kyle is a Production Program Coordinator for Asians in Animation's Animation Industry Immersive Lab. His daily task helps assist with any internal communications, coordinating the scheduling of the production program, and making connections among peers within AIA by providing a selection of flexible solutions to try and help maintain/smoothen workflow. Having worked on a few short films/student shorts, such as Manor Mania, along with the influences of 2000s animations while growing up, shows like Steven Universe, Chowder, and Laputa: Castle in the Sky to name a few. Kyle pursues to create supportive/ collaborative connections among like-minded individuals who also share a passion for creating distinctive worlds, memorable character designs, and those who aren't afraid to experiment with unique storytelling. Peculiar fact: Kyle has an odd fascination/love for anything clown/jester-related, especially when it comes to clowncore attire. Whether it be a whimsigoth aesthetic or a certain song playing into what type of outfit he will wear for the day, you can bet he’ll look snatched if given the chance.
