Pronunciation: kæ-lōs cho͞o
What I Do: Writing, Community-Building, Content Development
What I Am: An eight-year-old kid trapped in a twenty-year-old’s body

Kalos is currently a student at Harvard University studying English and Film Studies. His interest in pursuing a career in animation began on June 28, 2020, when he watched the docuseries on the making of Frozen II (a film he has watched at least 13 times).

Since then, he has interned with the Big Kids Animation Development team at Nickelodeon Animation Studios, as well as at Atlas Entertainment, Voltage Pictures, Day Zero Productions, and Janet Yang Productions. Kalos is currently serving as a Feature Development Intern at DreamWorks Animation, where he supports the development team and their slate of active projects.

He is a staunch believer in the power of animation to tell important, impactful stories with grace, nuance, and—most of all—beauty, and he is immensely passionate about uplifting marginalized and underrepresented voices in the animation industry.

Kalos is always excited to meet new people, and encourages anyone in the AIA community (or beyond) to reach out to him via LinkedIn or Instagram to chat!
