Cecilia HsuPronouns: She/Her
What I Am: 2nd Gen Taiwanese-American, outdoor enthusiast, lifelong learner Cecilia is currently a Senior Slot Game Designer at Konami Gaming. Before Konami, she was a Game Artist at esteemed slot game company Light and Wonder, working alongside other talented industry artists with backgrounds at WB and Startoons. Cecilia’s love for animation stems from it’s ability to create opportunities for audiences to bridge communication gaps, build relationships, and spread empathy. Art should be enjoyed by everyone with no barriers to access! A 2015 graduate from the humble state of Indiana, Cecilia majored in Electronic Arts and Animation at Ball State University. After graduating, she wound up working at a public library for two years in Minnesota where she learned the importance of community building, accessibility to resources, and strong interpersonal communication. These experiences led to a realization that communication can maximize access and minimize barriers; so she returned to school and completed a Masters in Strategic Communication at Purdue University in 2019 to do just that. This led her down a path towards art advocacy, and she hopes to move into roles that create a safe community for artists to feel empowered, and bring out the best in themselves. Fun fact: She loves climbing, maybe a little too much, and got stuck on a small cliff where she had to be rescued by emergency services. |
