Pronouns: She/Her/Hers What I Do: Prepare Event Documents for the Workshops What I Am: Filipino-American Schantelle finds her roots in Chicago, Illinois and is currently pursuing a BFA in Animation at School of Visual Arts. Now a rising senior at SVA, she has completed five short films with an aim to showcase and tell the stories of those in her immigrant community of Albany Park and beyond. She has spoken on the stage of Pictoplasma NYC 2023 and Chicago’s NPR station WBEZ radio about bringing representation of underrepresented communities into her film work. She enjoys volunteering in her free time, which she is currently doing at the moment with Asians in Animation as a PAWS Host Assistant and Immersive Lab Workshops Coordinator.
Fun Fact: Schantelle has completed two marathons, and finds a lot of similarities in work ethic between animation and long distance running! |
