Jess LinVisual Development Artist
Hi, I am Jess Lin, a visual development and storyboard artist based in New York. I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA degree in 2024. I specialize in storytelling through illustration, concept design, and world-building for animation. I enjoy all types of storytelling and am most drawn to relationships between characters. My experience of growing up abroad in China inspired me to explore stories between characters of different backgrounds or even species. I love to imagine how separate living beings could form the purest connection even with a communication barrier. I find inspiration from anything new I learn about the world to how I feel from one of my most ordinary days. I believe that the strangest thing could be witnessed in the most mundane reality we live in, which motivates me to invent eerie happenings in a rather real-life situation.
