Jacki LiVisual Development Mentor
Jacki Li is an illustrator and visual development artist from San Diego, California. After a fateful encounter with a working illustrator in middle school, she decided to pursue art seriously and ended up attending Art Center College of Design. As a life-long fan of animation, she majored in Illustration with a focus in Entertainment Arts, hoping to build a career in her dream field. Her first job outside of school was for the Netflix film Entergalactic - as the senior visual development artist on the project, she had her hands full creating environment art, lighting keys, and matte paintings. She continued her vis dev career with What If..? and Marvel Zombies and now works as a senior concept artist at the indie game studio Gravity Well.
On top of her full-time work, Jacki has also freelanced for various TV projects at Sony, Dreamworks, and Disney. She has also dabbled in illustration work for video game splash art, book covers, and board games. When she’s not sitting at her Cintiq, you can find her sketching at restaurants or plein air painting with her pochade box. She loves a good beach day and catching up on movies, both old and new. |
