Clarisse ChuaStoryboard Mentor
Originally from Singapore, Clarisse is currently a story artist at Skydance Animation
Studios. She has worked on films such as Luck (2020) and Spellbound (2024) and is currently storyboarding on the next Brad Bird project at the studio. She also worked on Skydance’s short film Bad Luck Spot (2023). Clarisse studied at Tama Art University in Tokyo and graduated from the character animation program at California Institute of the Arts in 2020. While at school, she had the opportunity to animate at indie animation studio, Moving Colour Studios and intern on Close Enough (2021) at Cartoon Network Studios. Outside of work, Clarisse writes and directs her own animated films. She has been a BAFTA Connect Member and her work has been semi-finalists for the Student Academy Awards. Her shorts have also won awards and have been presented at film festivals internationally, including Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, the Animation Block Party in New York, BFI Future Film Festival, Seoul Indie AniFest and the Bucheon International Animation Film Festival. |
