Calvin TsangStory Mentor
Calvin Tsang is a writer/director with over 20 years of experience in animated features and television. While Calvin considers himself a Hong Kong action cinema enthusiast (or nerd), his true passion lies in solving complex story challenges. He has worked on Transformers Prime, Ben 10: Omniverse, Star Wars Rebels, and the award-winning TV series Tron: Uprising. In 2018, Calvin moved to New York to work on the critically acclaimed film, Nimona, at Blue Sky Studios. After the studio’s closure, Calvin continued his journey in crafting stories at Illumination, contributing to The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Most recently, he served as the Head of Story on Kung Fu Panda 4 at DreamWorks Animation, where he also wrote and directed the complementary short, Dueling Dumplings, for the home release of the feature film.
