Anna Folsom

Chief Communications Officer
Anna is the Chief Communications Officer for Asians in Animation and a strategic communications professional with over eight years of experience, including six years in the nonprofit sector. A storyteller at heart, she is driven by a passion for crafting immersive experiences. Born and raised in the Philippines, she graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Creative Writing, which honed her ability to connect with audiences through compelling narratives.

Her passion for animation, film, and gaming is evident in her expertise in video editing, visual branding, and social media. She brings fresh perspectives and a positive energy to every project and thrives in collaborative environments. Beyond marketing, Anna’s goal is to leverage her skills to contribute to captivating projects that push creative boundaries.

She channeled her creative energy as the Editor and Producer of Junior Achievement of Northern California's podcast, Oh, The Places You'll Work!, where she helped craft inspiring career stories.

Fun fact: When Animal Crossing: New Horizons took over the world, Anna built her own little slice of the Philippines called Hilaga (check it out here)! Inspired by her memories back home and iconic Filipino landmarks, her island gained recognition and helped share Filipino culture with the world, fueling her passion for storytelling.
