Visual Development Artist

Hello hello! I’m Angela and I’m a visual development artist with experience working in indie games as a concept artist for around two years! I’m currently an Art Teacher at an art studio educating students from grade K-12 specializing in digital art and concept design. Although I’ve had no formal art education, my passion for art began with making video games with some college friends! Over time, I got to build experience working as Art Lead designing characters, sets, and key art for indie games. 

I have always loved film and animation, especially with how stories could inform the designs of characters and worlds! Since last year, I’ve been building my visual development portfolio after getting inspired and being supported by so many wonderful artists currently working in animation. Throughout that year, I’ve learned so much just from creating personal projects consisting of story beat illustrations, character designs, environment designs, and props! With AIA’s Immersive Lab Program, I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity and am beyond excited to finally gain hands-on experience creating vis dev art for their short film!
